savannah outen

biography:

From the moment Savannah Outen posted her first singing video on YouTube, it was inevitable that she was here to make her mark on the music industry.  With her powerhouse voice, Savannah went on to have great success with her own songs, performing at the likes of the 85th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and reaching over 117 million views on her channel.  Now 24-years-old, Savannah is poised to take 2017 by storm with the release of her new single “Coins” and its accompanying EP.

Destined for the stage, Savannah knew she wanted to pursue a career in the arts ever since she was a little girl performing in her dance recitals.  At age 13, she had her first singing performance at a fair and fell in love with the feeling of the audience singing along with her.  It was at that moment she knew that she wanted people from all over the world to sing along to her own original lyrics and melodies.

After developing a large following from posting her captivating covers on YouTube, Savannah released her single “Goodbyes” in 2008 to an overwhelmingly positive response.  She began to tour around, playing shows to loyal fans and creating a name for herself with her undeniable talent.  Continuously growing as an artist, Savannah has had the time to experiment with different sounds and styles of music since her initial break.  “When I first started releasing music, I didn’t really have control over my sound.  Now, as I’ve grown up, I’ve really found my sound, what I stand for, and what I love.”

Some of her biggest influences include powerful vocalists such as Celine Dion and Christina Aguilera, and the originality of artists like Justin Timberlake and Jon Bellion.  Savannah best describes her music as Pop with Rhythmic/R&B Flares.  She doesn’t hold back when writing, candidly detailing every thing going on in her life, making all of her lyrics very personal.  Her writing process varies – from a song title popping into her head, to walking into a session having something heavy on her mind, or just simply hearing a drum or certain sound that ends up inspiring an entire song.

In 2015, she began to work with writer/producer team Emanual “Eman” Kiriakou and Evan “Kidd” Bogart at the helm, the duo behind hits by Beyonce, Rihanna, Jason Derulo, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, MKTO and more.  She soon after released her single “Boys” and premiered its accompanying video with NYLON Magazine.

2017 is gearing up to be an exciting year for Savannah as she is currently writing and recording in the studio and plans to release her upcoming single “Coins” in January, followed by an EP.

Outside of music, Savannah loves dancing, cooking, and coffee.  Dedicated to using her voice for good, Savannah is extremely passionate about charities that work to rescue or prevent animal cruelty such as ASPCA and Wags & Walks.  She has also been a longtime supporter of The Thirst Project, a charity that helps to build wells and provide clean and safe drinking water to those who don’t have access.

Ultimately, Savannah’s goal is just to continue making music forever.  Whatever that entails for her, she hopes to inspire others to go for their dreams and never give up.  When asked where she sees herself in the future, Savannah says “Making music, touring around the world, owning a coffee shop, and hopefully hosting SNL.”
